Overview of Short Courses:
 

Train Shetland (Short Courses) aims to meet the needs of both Shetland Islands Council and external customers in relation to short course delivery, where external customers can be either businesses or individuals. Our service aims to provide training to benefit the local economy with better trained, more professional staff in line with the needs of employers.

Train Shetland (Short Courses) currently provides a wide range of training to companies all over Shetland. We offier a wide range of courses in Microsoft Office and training in soft management skills such as Minute Taking, Time & Self Management and Delivering Effective Presentations. Our wide range of Health and Safety training includes Manual Handling, REHIS Food Hygiene courses, HSE First Aid and Working at Heights.

Train Shetland (Short Courses) is a Registered Training Provider with ILA Scotland. Anyone living in Scotland who is aged 18 and over can apply for up to £200 a year to help pay for approved courses. To apply, phone 0808 100 1090 to request an ILA Scotland Application pack.
