Lerwick-based Ocean Kinetics was named as the country’s top small employer at Skills Development Scotland’s Modern Apprenticeship Awards last night.

Judges chose the engineering and marine contracting company because of its belief that the apprentice programme is a vital part of its ten year growth plan. They were impressed by it’s commitment to spending time and investment on training in order to get skilled trainees who are able to meet corporate requirements.
